Hampstead Heath

Hampstead Heath

Hampstead Heath is the highest natural place in London with great views

Hampstead Heath is only 4 miles from Central London but it feels much further! It is a great place for children to
enjoy the outdoors with great play facilities.

For children under 12 the best playground is the one at Parliament Hill. It has loads of play equipment including slides, a sandpit
and even a paddling pool. There is also an adventure playground with rope swings and more challenging climbing frames.

Unusally, the One O’Clock Club (a drop in centre for under 5s) is open both mornings (10am to 12pm) and afternoons (1pm to 4pm). This is
great for parents with younger children because there are indoor and outdoor play areas. So no matter what the weather you can keep the kids
entertained.

Look out for the “Children’s Only” Play Enclosures on the Heath Extension, East Heath, the Vale of Heath and next to
the tennis courts at Parliament Hill. No dogs are allowed here so you won’t have to watch where you are stepping and you can enjoy
a relaxed picnic and a game of football.
