Science Museum

Science Museum

Outstanding interactive science galleries that will enthrall any child

Choose from the Garden in the basement (aimed at 3 to 6 yr olds), the Pattern Pod on the ground floor (for 5 to 8 yr olds) or the ever popular Launchpad (for older kids). The children will love the hands on exhibits and they will be amused for hours. There is also a handy cafe located on the ground floor or a slightly smarter but family friendly restaurant. You will not be disappointed, but make sure you arrive early to make the most of your visit.

Alternatively, if you want some inspiration for some fun, easy science projects you can do at home then have a look at the entertaining videos on the MIST website.

The Garden in the basement is officially for 3-6 year olds but there is plenty there for a younger toddler to enjoy.

Don’t miss the Pattern Pod at the back of the ground floor, for under 8s.
