British Museum

The Egyptian Mummies are always popular and the Great Court is stunning

The British Museum houses a vast collection of world art and artefacts. If you start your visit at the Paul Hamlyn Library next to Room 2, staff will be able to help you make the most out of the museum. There are a number of family trails suitable for different ages. For the younger ones, choose a trail about color and shapes or
one about counting. Older kids might like the voyage through ancient Egypt or a trail about dragons and fantastic creatures. There are also
free backpacks full of puzzles, games and other activities.

Alternatively just have a wonder around – children will be fascinated by the exhibits – and when their concentration begins to wane
let them play a few games in the wonderful covered space of the Great Court.
