London Wetland Centre

London Wetland Centre

You might not think that birdwatching will interest kids, but the London Wetland Centre caters for them very well. Not only do they like charging down the paths looking at all the different birds, but there is also a fantastic interactive discovery centre with plenty to keep them entertained.

The Wetland Centre is a huge 42 hectare site so you won’t even feel as if you are in the capital. The centre is very buggy friendly so it is even suitable for babies and toddlers. If you can, take a pair of binoculars so that the kids can see the birds “up close”.

There is a great cafe which is particularly lovely in the summer because there is a large outside eating space. You can also take your own refreshments if you prefer.
